What is the ORC? The One Room Challenge is a widely anticipated, online interior design event, that is held every April and October. Linda Weinstein is the owner and creator of the ORC which began in 2011 as a motivational challenge with a small group of friends to finish one room. Now in its 17th year and thousands of room transformations later, it has continued to grow in popularity. Better Homes & Gardens is the official media partner for the ORC.
For each event, twenty design influencers are chosen to participate as Featured Designers. Posts are shared weekly on social media to update readers on the progress they are making. Anyone with a blog or Instagram account can join the challenge as a Guest Participant. The result—social media is overflowing with images of renovation, professional advice to help with your own projects, inspiration, resources and beyond! Calico was proud to be a sponsor of the Spring 2020 Challenge.
A Glass of Bovino
Alisa Bovino @aglassofbovino chose a main bathroom for her makeover. Working with our East Hanover NJ Design Shop, Alisa selected Dareau-55 Indigo, for Roman Shades. The trim Bronson-Citrine added a pop of color to the Flat Roman Shade. The custom shower curtain in Linden-Sterling looks great against the gorgeous floor and shower tile.

This dining room designed by Beth Diana Smith @bethdianasmith is absolutely stunning! We love how our fabric Imagine-Natural complements the curvy dining chairs. It was a great fabric choice for this reupholstery project.

Design Maze
We love how Tim Lam @designmaze_tim transformed this sleek chaise. The frame was reupholstered in Bale Mill Canvas-Oyster (a Ralph Lauren performance fabric) and beautifully accented with a faux-leather welt in Luciana-Russet.
