How Our Free Interior Design Process Works

Step 1: Gather Your Inspiration

Browse calicocorners.com for ideas, or collect magazine clippings, Pinterest boards, and Houzz images that capture the feeling you’re after. The more we see of what appeals to you, the better we can match your vision.

Step 2: Think About Your Space and Needs

Consider how your room will be used. Do you need light control or privacy for window treatments? Are you looking for performance fabrics that hold up to kids and pets? Knowing what you want from a functional standpoint helps us narrow the perfect options.

Step 3: Show Us Your Room

Take a few photos from different angles on your phone. Capture your windows, any architectural details, and focal points like art, area rugs, or antiques that should inform the design. For in-home consultations, email photos ahead of time so we can come prepared.

Step 4: Take Rough Measurements

For window treatments, write down approximate window dimensions, number of windows, and ceiling height. Note anything we’ll need to work around—bookcases, radiators, French doors. We’ll schedule a professional measure during our consultation.

Step 5: Book Your Free Appointment

Schedule in-store, in-home, or virtually. We work evenings and weekends. Our designers come to you- no planning, no pressure.
