Domain NORTHSIDE’s Rock Rose District alone has 20+ restaurants and bars in a vibrant entertainment strip. Nordstrom, Apple, Louis Vuitton, lululemon, Restoration Hardware, Anthropologie, and dozens of other national and luxury retailers all call the Domain home.
• Burnet Road Vintage & Independent Retail · Burnet Rd corridor The stretch of Burnet Road connecting Anderson Lane to North Loop is one of Austin’s richest corridors for independent retail, vintage clothing, mid-century furniture dealers, specialty food shops, local coffee roasters, and neighborhood bars with genuine character. • Shoal Creek Greenbelt & Trails · ~2 miles east A beloved linear park following Shoal Creek through the heart of Central Austin, with hike-and-bike trails, wildflower meadows, and creek side paths that connect residential neighborhoods from 38th Street north through Brentwood and Crestview. One of the most-used and most-loved green spaces in North-Central Austin.
• Blanton Museum of Art · UT Campus · ~4 miles south · 200 E MLK Jr Blvd The largest university art museum in the United States, with a permanent collection spanning 18,000 works from ancient to contemporary — including a major holding of Latin American art, European painting and sculpture, and American works on paper. • Congress Avenue Bat Colony · Downtown · ~6 miles south The world’s largest urban bat colony — up to 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats roosting beneath the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge. From March through November, the nightly emergence at dusk is one of the most spectacular natural spectacles in any American city. Free to watch from the bridge or the surrounding parkland.
