Suzani embroidery comes from Central Asia and is usually quite large in scale. These print fabrics and jacquard adaptations are more versatile. We love them mixed with chenille textures, velvets, faux suedes and raw silks. Authentic Suzani textiles were often exchanged like currency or used as dowry payments. These distinctive fabrics decorated the bridal chamber and were worn as costumes for important events.
