Velvet fabrics and mohair fabrics have a pile woven from an extra set of yarns that interlace with the warp and the weft. Our velvet fabrics have a tight weave and a short pile so that they will wear well and resist crushing. Remember that velvet fabrics come in a variety of patterns, stripes or quilted textures. Our mohair velvet is woven from the long, silky fiber of the Angora goat. Mohair fabrics dye beautifully and are extremely durable.
