Tape together sheets of newspaper to match the Width X Depth of the pieces you’re considering. Place the newsprint pieces on the floor—and walk around them. Put dining chairs on the newsprint to help visualize the mass and 34” height. Is there enough clearance to walk by? Is it too large for the space or too small in scale? Perhaps a different floor arrangement works better. It’s easy to move newsprint until you’re satisfied with the results.

Measure all doorways, exterior and interior, that the new furniture needs to clear. Hallways or stairways may also be transit points—measure there too.

If the width or depth is larger than entryway or hallway dimensions, consult your Calico Corners sales associate to determine if the piece can be angled to fit.
